I got an email from Rondel Ramsey at Lincoln Christian College last week. He invited me to teach a course at Lincoln in the Fall: Ministering to the College Campus.
I emailed him back and agreed. Immediately I began putting together a syllabus and topics that I would want to cover. It's amazing how quickly you can do something when you are passionate about it. I really enjoy working with University students. So, this Fall (if all goes well and people actually sign up for the class...) I will be teaching a night class on Thursday nights. If you know anybody who is interested in the class, have them sign up at lccs.edu
My wife also told me about another cool thing. If you are the son or daughter of a veteran who served during wartime, you can get a free University Education through the University of Illinois! So, as soon as I hammer away my research project for my Historical Theology degree at Lincoln, I may jump into another masters degree at UIS next Spring. We'll see.
Dude, that's awesome. I'm interested in hearing what you come up with.

I wonder what LCC would do if you turned in a syllabus in which half of the semester was devoted to puppet ministry.

I am sure the Christian Standard or Christianity Today would get ahold of it...
Then Rick would call and let me know about his new book, the Purpose Driven Puppet Ministry...
on and on.
Is the world ready for this Eric?

With two parents who are vets, you could stay in school for years. Congratulations on this fall. I love you! MOM

Hey John, I went to UIS free of tuition because of that scholarship. It is a pretty sweet deal. Ministering to college students...makes me want to go to seminary.

Congratulations, John! I know you will do a great job! I enjoyed the years I taught "Social Issues In Youth Ministry". It also was on Thursday night.
Say "Hi" to Shannon.
